PROFUSION is a micro modular data center that replicates the cooling, power, and security capabilities of a traditional data center, but on a much smaller scale. Rapid deployment and modular growth capabilities of a traditional containerized data center are now achievable at micro-level making modularity possible at the micro-cabinet level. Expenses applied to operating computer rooms, data halls, hot-aisle/cold-aisle containment solutions, in-row cooling, door-cooling, container-based cooling, inclusive of floor management, energy consumption, personnel and staffing will all be minimized to the absolute minimum with the Profusion technology. The benefits of containerized data centers are achieved without the inconvenience working inside containerized environments or higher CapEx and OpEX of any traditional or modular data center that ever existed before.

PROFUSION is a self-contained, precision-cooled, high-density, plug-and-play-ready server cabinet with integrated redundant cooling system (2N, N+1 and N configuration options) that provides accurate and intelligent cooling technology that makes the facilities no longer the problem of IT managers and data center operators. Cooling system consists of a pair of hot-swappable and redundant cooling modules that are located at the bottom or the top of the cabinet. Using highly sensitive sensors right at the intake of the IT equipment at different height levels, the cooling system automatically adjusts to the load to provide proper cooling for variable densities up to 30kW with 2N redundancy.

The PROFUSION systems are controlled via an Intelligent Management & Monitoring System (iMMS), which is composed of redundant system controllers and Environment Management Systems (EMS). The EMS controls smoke detectors, temperature and humidity sensors, PDUs, automatic doors, and the cooling units by means of touch screens installed on the doors or via central control portal which can be even managed remotely from the NOC, tablets and android devices etc. The system can be managed through the SNMP protocol by any commercial BMS, with the best performance being reached using the Chillman Supervisory Software.

The PROFUSION efficiency is a system reality that overwhelms the data center operators at large scale. The technology has been designed to provide the maximum possible of efficiency. Efficiency in power, cooling, space and operations is key to the fusion of the Profusion technology. Providing possibilities of high-density computing at least possible footprints, least required power and cooling, simple maintenance and optimum intelligence possibilities that requires least amount of operational efforts to monitor, maintain and run the system for large implementations. Profusion technology allows for up to 80% of energy savings when it comes to cooling, power and space and practically 95% in operational resources and efforts.

The PROFUSION cabinet is certified IP55 which means it is airtight and water-sealed to ensure optimum environmental control and security for IT equipment. This provides an extra layer of protection to the IT equipment and sheds the need for expensive and time-consuming efforts to seal the rooms and data center environments, including building airlocks, rerouting pipes and ductwork, etc. Profusion doors are magnetically latched and controlled by the EMS. In case of a high temperature alarm, fire, or user command, the latches are released and the doors are opened by a gas spring. An optional built-in fire suppression system is also available to contain the fire and the fire supression process within the cabinet.

Easily Maintainable

The PROFUSION has two totally distinct and isolated compartments: the IT compartment and the Facilities compartment. Maintenance or operational routines in one compartment do not hamper or interrupt the other. All mechanical access and pipe work are safely done 7 Us below the isolation point of IT and Facilities and mechanical service personnel have no access to the IT compartment. Likewise IT personnel cannot access mechanical service compartment without proper security clearances and tools. This makes it possible to position possibilities of mechanical rooms and computing rooms in one unit with throughput of up to 30KW of load in 2N configuration all in less than 10sqf/1sqm.

Intelligent Management & Monitoring System

The PROFUSION systems are intelligently managed and controlled via redundant and real-time synchronized Intelligent Management & Monitoring Systems (IMMS). Each IMS offers multi-functionality and fulfills robust purposes within the lowest possible footprint while providing extensive flexibility and scalability features.

IMS is composed of redundant pairs of Environment Management Systems (EMS) with built-in Cooling Management Control Systems and the web-server for remote control. This IMMS controls smoke detectors, temperature and humidity sensors, PDUs, doors and the cooling units by means of touch screens installed on the doors as well as by LAN. Through the SNMP protocol, it is able to manage the system by any commercial BMS, but the best performances can be reached using the Chillmann Supervisory Software.
